1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Shopilot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

To use Shopilot, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Be the owner or authorized administrator of a Shopify store
  • Have the authority to bind your business to these Terms
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

3. License and Permissions

3.1 Grant of License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Shopilot for your Shopify store.

3.2 Permissions: By installing the App, you grant Shopilot permission to:

  • Access and process your store's product catalog and information
  • Read order data to provide customer support functionality
  • Access store policies and settings
  • Display the chatbot widget on your storefront
  • Store and process customer interactions for service delivery

These permissions are strictly limited to functionality required for delivering the App's services as described.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Pricing: Shopilot offers various subscription plans. Current pricing is available in the Shopify App Store and within the app.

4.2 Billing: Subscription fees are billed through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing, you authorize Shopify to charge your payment method.

4.3 Free Trial: We may offer free trial periods. After the trial, you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4.4 Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.

4.5 Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose

  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App

6. Service Availability

7. AI Chatbot Disclaimer

Important limitations of AI-powered chatbots:

  • The chatbot provides automated responses based on available store data
  • While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving the chatbot's knowledge base
  • The chatbot does not replace professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
  • You should monitor chatbot interactions and have human support available for complex issues

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of Shopilot is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our IP: All rights, title, and interest in Shopilot, including software, algorithms, designs, and trademarks, belong to us.

9.2 Your IP: You retain all rights to your store content, products, and customer data. You grant us a license to use this data solely to provide the service.

9.3 Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without compensation or attribution.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 AS-IS Service: Shopilot is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10.2 No Warranties: We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10.3 Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

12.1 By You: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Shopify admin panel.

12.2 By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our policies
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Pose a security or legal risk

12.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access will cease, and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

13. Dispute Resolution
